Hi I'm Colette

I'm a music lover from Mesa, Arizona. I have been called to serve a full-time mission in Independence Missouri, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a large family with step-parents and step-siblings. It hasn't been easy growing up with divorced parents, but I am so grateful for lessons I have learned and additional family members I have gained because of it. Every member in my family loves music and we sing around the house day and night and perform as often as we can. I love to sing and play the ukulele and piano. I just finished my first year of college where I was working towards getting my degree in elementary education. I love teaching and spending time with children and hope to one day be married and have children of my own. I also enjoy nature and taking long hikes and exploring the outdoors with my little brothers.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family of LDS members where the teachings and principles of the church were practiced daily, but I had to choose for myself if being a part of this religion is what I wanted to do with my life. However, there was never any doubt in my mind that this church is true because of the peace and happiness and brings into my life. I have been blessed immensely because I follow the commandments of the Lord and try my best to live like Christ. Through prayerful study and pondering I have gained testimony that this church is the true church on the earth today and that the Lord knows me and wants me to be a part of it. I am so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I will continue to learn it and live it for the rest of my life.

How I live my faith

Right now I am preparing to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Independence, Missouri. I am so excited to dedicate the next 18 months of my life to the Lord and help those in Missouri find the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I have had many opportunities in my youth to serve in callings that allowed me to pray for and give service to others and this has brought so much joy to my life. I love attending church every Sunday and reading my scriptures each day because doing those things reminds me that my Savior loves me and it teaches me how I can improve my life and live more like Christ.
