Hi I'm Zhenya

I am from Littleton, Colorado. I go to school at BYU-Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old. I love to run, hike, camp, raft, mountain bike, climb, and trail run. I especially love doing these activities with my family. I play the piano, ukulele, and some guitar and organ. I have finished one year of college at Brigham Young University Idaho and I will be serving a full time mission for the Lord in Arcadia, California.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I have grown up in this church my whole life I am still a convert. You don't know the truth until you find it for yourself and I have done that through personal study, prayer and research. I know that Heavenly Father will answer our prayers and our questions if we do our part and ask him with all our heart. "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be open unto you." (Mathew 7:7) Another key element I have found to personal conversion is faith. Faith can be very hard to come by for most people like it was for me, but I have learned through expierence that if we give something up for the Lord, he in return repays us far more than we expected. "... I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherfore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after th trial of your faith." (Ether 12:6). I am a Mormon because I love this gospel and its people with all my heart and I am so ready to share that with the rest of the world.

How I live my faith

I try to be very involved with my church. I go to all the camp outs we put on for our youth and have even become a leader at most of them. I love participating in all the events my ward puts on for the community and volunteer as much as I can for them. In my ward I am currently a chorister- I lead people in the songs we sing at church.
