Hi I'm Anna

I'm from Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm serving a full-time mission in the Tokyo Japan South Mission! And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an adventure seeker. I've been skydiving twice, love to hike, snow ski, sit by a pool with a good book, exercise, and eat ice cream - Lots of it! Growing up, I danced and played soccer all the way up until college where I stopped it all to focus on my music. I've played the piano since the age of 6 and I'm currently studying to complete a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance at a local university.

Why I am a Mormon

Having been raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I didn't know much else growing up. I always attended church with my family and enjoyed my classes thoroughly. With age, it became a more personal decision to attend church. I loved what I learned, I loved the feeling I got when I was there and made a commitment to myself to grow and truly be a faithful member. I started with making a habit of daily prayer and scripture study. There is nothing more powerful and strengthening in your life than taking advantage of the tools Heavenly Father has given you in this earth life. Being able to read and gain strength from the truths found in the scriptures or feel the peace as I knew a prayer was heard or answered, proved to grow my testimony stronger and stronger. We all suffer trials of all kinds in this life, no two exactly alike and Heavenly Father knows that. He has given us the gift of the Atonement through His son Jesus Christ to save us from eternal misery and instead provide us a way to find eternal life. This is a gospel of happiness! In choosing to accept it for myself, I have kept myself from struggles of confusion and loneliness. I know if I search the scriptures I will find answers. And when I feel lost and alone or like no one understands what I'm going through, I remember my Savior, Jesus Christ suffered every feeling I could ever feel just for me, so in the end I could be saved and enter into the kingdom of heaven again. This gospel offers truth, hope, and light and keeps me from having to battle the confusions of the outside world. It gives me strength and empowers me to live and be the happiest I can be.

How I live my faith

I am currently living my faith by serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Japan Tokyo South Mission. I am honored to be an instrument in the Lords hands in bringing His truth to all nations and cant wait to share the joy of this gospel with the people of Japan.
