Hi I'm McKenna

I love hunting and fly fishing. I want to be a teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of two children, and I adore my younger sister. Growing up my dad taught me to love the outdoors, we love to go fly fishing and shooting together when we have free time and it has become a large part of who I am. I attended college for one year before leaving to serve a mission and I plan on returning to complete my degree in Elementary Education.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this church is true without a shadow of a doubt. There have been several moments during my life when I felt alone, and in every moment that darkness and sadness was shattered by the love I felt from my Father in heaven. I have read and prayed about the Book of Mormon and the Holy Ghost testified to me personally that it is true. I have felt the peace and joy that this gospel brings that nothing else can. I am a Mormon because this gospel makes me happy.

How I live my faith

While I was at college I had the opportunity to work with the young women who lived in my building and the building next door. A few other girls and I would try to make short visits every now and then to check on each girl individually and make sure she was doing well and see if there was anything we could do for her. This church is all about loving one another and supporting each other as we go through this life. It was a blessing to know that those girls were also there for me, and we could relate to one another because we were all going through the same thing. I will now be able to share this love even more as I serve a mission and spend each day trying to find those who are ready to hear the word of God and also help them to come to know their Savior and Redeemer.
