Hi I'm Betsy

I grew up on a farm in Idaho. My husband who is in the Army, and I have lived in many cities and countries. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a mother of 5 and soon to be grandmother of 15. I grew up on a dairy farm in Idaho and always thought I would live there forever and be a farmers wife. But little did I know what life had in store for me. My husband decided to go back to school, and then joined ROTC and after he graduated we were off to see the country and the world. I was afraid of so many things in the beginning, but the Lord was with us in our moves and I always knew we were where he wanted us to be. Our lives and our children's lives have been blessed through living the Gospel. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Gospel and the members of this wonderful Church have always been such a blessing to me. In difficult times I have found peace through the Saviors love for me. I am so grateful for that, and for the joy I feel in my life as I strive to live my life the way the Savior would want me to.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon first because I was born into a strong Mormon family. It was probably not until my later teen years that I really had my own strong testimony. I have time and time again felt the Spirit testify to me of the truth of this Gospel. Living my life as a member of this church has been such a blessing. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am a better person, a better mother, and a better wife because of the church. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the most important thing in my life. I know that if I keep the Savior at the center of my life that all things will be alright. No matter the difficulty I will get through it because of his love for me. I testify that this is His Gospel, and that through it we can accomplish anything that is asked of us.

How I live my faith

I have strived to live my faith in serving wherever I am needed. I currently teach early morning Seminary. We start class at 6:10 each morning. It is not an easy thing, but is well worth the time and effort. I know I have learned so much and I have been able to develop a closer relationship with the Savior. It is such a joy and a blessing to work with the youth of the Church. They are truly choice spirits and have so much to accomplish. Serving in the church in any capacity is such a small price to pay for the blessings we receive and to show our love for our Father and Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ.
