Hi I'm Ipo

I am a big sister to 1 girl and 5 boys, I'm in love with ice cream and acai bowls, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

ALOHA! My name is Ipo (ee-poh). I spent all of my 19 years of life in the middle of the Pacific Ocean on the islands of Hawai'i. I love (good & wholesome) music and listening to informative and uplifting Tedx Talks. I love to paddle (canoe-paddling is an actual sport here) and dance hula as well as other Polynesian dance. I love ice cream, meeting new and interesting people, and I've been recently called to serve the Lord's children in the San Jose, California Mission and will be reporting in July! (:

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a growing testimony of my Heavenly Father and my brother/savior Jesus Christ--His atoning sacrifice, His grace and mercy, and His true gospel once again restored on Earth for these Latter-Days. I was "born into" the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My mother's parents are faithful members and they never gave up on teaching me the principles, doctrine, and morals of this gospel. I didn't always have a strong testimony...or a testimony at all. As I got older, I realized that I could no longer depend on the faith and testimony of my grandparents, leaders, or ANYONE really....I needed to find the truth (if it was) for MYSELF. What I learned was...it is a TWO-WAY street. If I will do MY part, Heavenly Father promises to do HIS. With that being said, little by little, day by day, one step at a time, I put forth my efforts with sincere prayers, pondering, and scripture studying and really acting upon what little faith I had at the moment. Every question I had was answered. Every doubt I had was HUSHED by the power of the Holy Spirit as I focused on the truths that I already knew. What better way to live life than to live as the Lord would have me live....as a Mormon. (:

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith daily simply by being mindful of my words, actions, and serving those around me as much as I can. It is especially important that I do so as I have been a leader and mentor to multiple youth groups and activites, but most importantly, I am an older sister to 1 girl and 5 boys who are always looking up to me and depending on me to be a greater example to them...and not only my siblings, but my many cousins as I am the oldest grandchild on both sides of my family.
