Hi I'm Austin

I grew up in Kennewick, Washington. I love sports, food, movies, and being with friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to have fun. I enjoy putting smiles on people's faces and getting along with everyone. I am currently a senior in high school and about to graduate. I leave for my mission to Colorado Springs, Colorado on June 17th. I am very into athletics, I play football, basketball, and track. Outside of sports I am always out with my friends, but I do enjoy nice quality family time. I am the oldest sibling in my family, I have two younger brothers and then the youngest is my sister. I am very close to my parents, partially because I am the oldest. If their is anything else to know about me it's that I love food!

Why I am a Mormon

To begin, I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I live in an area where there are many different religions, and I have seen what they teach and do. I see many of my non-lds friends living their lives and not knowing what they are really missing and how they aren't able to always live their lives to the fullest. Being a Mormon makes my life complete, I am happy with where and who I am today. I couldn't be more greatful that I have been born and raised in the true church. I know that the Lord's church is being guided by true living prophets. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel here back on the Earth. I know that because of the Atonement my brother Jesus Christ made for me here on Earth will allow me to be able to come and live with him again. I am a Mormon because I choose to be a Mormon, I know that from what I have learned throughout my life is true, and I am choosing to follow the straight and narrow path God has given me so that I can become more like him and be able to return and live with him again someday.

How I live my faith

Throughout my life i have always participated in my church callings. I was the first assistant in the Priest quorum for almost a year until I was released. I attend church every sunday and help bless the sacrament for the ward members. I am a hometeacher, and i currently hometeach 4 different families. I also attend mutual, I help plan/organize activities for the youth and lead in opening exercises for our ward. For the past year I have been preparing very hard to serve a full-time mission. I have finally received my mission call and now I am still continuing to learn more in the gospel before I leave to help others learn more about the restored gospel.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Mormons do help each other, but much of what is done in the Church is to bless and help those who are not Mormon. More than 53,000 Mormon missionaries serve through the world today teaching the restored gospel and helping people come closer to Christ and our Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
