Hi I'm Simone

I am a convert to the Church, returned missionary & law school student.

About Me

I am a 24-year-old Californian, now living in Utah. I love traveling, piano, Spanish & French, the Nutcracker ballet, and anything to do with Japan.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church in August 2014! I was baptized on August 2nd and let me tell you it was by far, THE greatest, most peaceful, happiest day of my entire life. No experience or memory compares to that day. I met with missionaries for about two months before getting baptized, and there came to a point when they asked me to sincerely pray to God to know for myself if Joseph Smith truly was a prophet of God and if the Book of Mormon truly is another Word of God. At this point I had read some of the Book of Mormon and I knew it was making a positive impact in my life, and I recognized the peaceful spirit I felt whenever I was at Church or with the missionaries, but for some reason, I wanted a "burning bush" answer from God about whether or not I should join the Church. When I finally got down on my knees and prayed to my Heavenly Father, with pure intentions, He answered. He answered me that night, and the following day, and every single day afterwards. I can never ever deny the confirmation I experienced. I knew that I needed to be baptized. It was only through an act of faith, through me finally letting go of all my fears, doubts, and (false) research I found on google about Mormons, and by taking a leap from my will to the Lord's. It was only through this process that I am able to PROUDLY say that I am a Mormon. I love this Church because it has brought me the closest to my Savior Jesus Christ and to my Heavenly Father than I know without a doubt I could have done through any other means. I can honestly and sincerely testify to you that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God, written by a prophet of God, and that by reading it, anyone and everyone can grow closer to our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

My favorite way to live my faith is through service. I LOVE working with youth. My dream is to travel around the world and volunteer in orphanages. I love service because it helps me to develop attributes of Jesus Christ. I want to live my faith through humility and selflessness.
