Hi I'm Brooklyn Lyman

I love music. I love the outdoors. I am an accounting major. I am on a mission in Japan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, but I was raised in Northern Virginia, by my wonderful Father and Mother. I have two brothers and two sisters, who I love and learn from all the time. My family is so important to me! I am attending Brigham Young University-Idaho and am planning on majoring in accounting. I think gaining knowledge and striving to learn more is one of the many keys to success. I have been assigned to labor in the Japan Nagoya Mission. I am so excited to teach the people more about the love God has for them and about their brother and savior, Jesus Christ. I love the gospel and I know it blesses all the lives of those who allow it to guide them in their lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I can see how it blesses my life and the lives of those around me. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for all our sins and He is the one person that can understand us perfectly. Through that Atonement, we can become clean and start again. Many people say it is so restrictive to live by all the standards that we have, although I believe that those high standards we have protect us from sin and some of the many challenges that people face today. I am grateful and glad to be a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving those around me and helping others to come to the knowledge of the gospel. "Gospel" means good news, and what I want is to share the good news with those around me. Doing the small things everyday, such as reading the scriptures and praying, I can have the foundation that I need to understand and more fully live my faith. I strive to be the best example I can be to those around me.
