Hi I'm Sage

I'm a first generation American. I taught myself how to embroider. My family is the most important thing to me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest of two in my family by three years. My little brother, though most definitely younger, is a full foot taller than I am! While my father flies airplanes to pay the bills, my mother is at home keeping everything in order in addition to doing service near constantly. I am a sophomore at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. Most recently, I've been called to serve a mission in Riverside, California speaking English. I'm so excited for the opportunity to serve the Lord on the west coast! I love all kinds of needle points and often give away my pieces to friends and family. I'm learning sign language and it's one of the most difficult yet enjoyable experiences I've yet to do! I'm nearly legally blind, but it isn't holding me back from living and loving life.

Why I am a Mormon

I've experienced severe illness and death in my family I've gone through personal trials where I thought all hope was lost and that there was no possible way for me to return to my Father in Heaven. The moments of my deepest despair can not even compare to the brightness and hope that I've experienced through having faith in God and overcoming my trials. The gospel of Christ isn't one of condemnation, nor is it one of harsh judgement and hatred. It is a gospel of love and hope and enlightenment and happiness beyond all recognition. No where on earth have I been able to find such happiness as this Church has given me. My Lord, Jesus Christ, truly is the author of love. I am a Mormon because I want to follow Christ and I know with every part of my soul that this is His true church.

How I live my faith

In my church, I am a teacher for 3 year olds. I actually have a class of 10 little ones! They're definitely a hand full, but every now and again, you can see a flicker of understanding in their young faces. Because I do love teaching the gospel of Christ and love every aspect of the Latter-day Saint church, I've decided to serve an 18 month mission to do nothing but teach and serve others. I'm so blessed to have such an opportunity, and through Christ, I know that I will be successful in all that I do.
