Hi I'm Lucas

I grew up in South Carolina. I love to play the piano and sing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently 18 years old and I am serving a mission in Stockholm, Sweden. During school I loved math and science, especially physics. I participated in the marching band all for years of high school and I sung in the choir my junior and senior years. I love to sing and play the piano and the drums. I also like to play frisbee and soccer with my friends. After my mission I plan on attending BYU when I get back.

Why I am a Mormon

I am not a convert. I grew up in the church, but I have chosen to continue to be Mormon because I have seen the amazing blessings it can bring into people's lives. I'm grateful that I was raised Mormon because I know that my life has been better because of it. I feel that this is the right path to follow and I know that if I follow God's commandments I can come closer to Him and return to live with Him in Heaven. The Mormon church gives me happiness and comfort in the knowledge that God loves all of his children on the earth and he has given us a living prophet to lead and guide us to return back to Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in my youth group and serving the community. Every week we have a youth activity on Wednesday where we can go to have fun with each other or maybe to learn something new about the gospel. As a leader of the youth, I am asked to be a good example and to help the other youth to grow and learn. I am an active member and I attend church every week. Once a month, I go home teaching with my home teaching companion who is also the young men's leader in my branch. We visit families in the community to make sure they are doing alright, help them with anything they need, and give a short lesson or spiritual thought.
