Hi I'm Keith Russell

I grew up in Mesa, Arizona. Icompeted in the 1968 Olympics on the 3 meter and platform . I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I began swimming and diving at the age of 6. I competed throughout my life and was able to participate in many national and international diving meets. I was on the 1968 Olympic Team in Mexico City. I received a mission call to Chile when I was in Mexico at the Olympics. My greatest joy is to be the father of six great children, and the grandfather to seventeen grandchildren. I've been a diving coach at Brigham Young University for 23 years and I'm retiring now and going on a mission to Puerto Rico.

Why I am a Mormon

Living the Gospel brings understanding, happiness and joy to me. I love knowing that families are forever. Our daughter passed away eight years ago from a brain tumor and knowing that we will see her again has helped bring peace and comfort to me.

How I live my faith

I've served in the church for most of my life. As a missionary, it was a great blessing to teach people about Jesus Christ and see the difference it made in their life to know and follow Christ. Now, I continue to serve in any way that I'm asked. Most important to me, is visiting families in our neighborhood and helping them in any way that they need help.
