Hi I'm Utahna

I'm named after the state of Utah. I love good music, my family, and making great food. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Provo, Utah and named after the state thanks to my dad and also the nurse who came in to ask for my name. I've moved around about 20 times since then and have lived in Texas, Colorado, but mostly Washington. I'm now back in Provo, living with my family and preparing to serve a mission for a year and a half in Salta, Argentina. I graduated from high school about a year ago, and had a blast attending Culinary School for a semester. I also enjoy playing the piano and the french horn, making food for my family, sewing and doing other sorts of crafty things. I currently spend most of my time working to earn as much money as I can for my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon today mostly because I grew up being Mormon, but I do believe that I have still been given the choice of how to live my life. I've chosen to live this way because it has brought me true joy. I am a better person because of it.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and have the opportunity to teach little kids about the gospel. I was teaching 8-9 year old's but I will begin teaching 3-4 year old's this next Sunday. Each week, I set aside time to prepare a lesson that will help them to best understand a principal. I live my faith at home by serving my family, reading out of the Book of Mormon daily, and applying what I learned at church. I think one of the most important things to do as a member is to try to become more Christ-like each day.
