Hi I'm Austin Jess Whiting

I was born and raised in Springville, UT. I love composing music. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the youngest of my family. I have been studying Music since I was 11 years old, and have just completed my first year of college with a major study of Vocal Performance. I love to golf, I love fitness and I love photography of all kinds. I have been enthralled with martial arts ever since I was a little kid, and enjoy being able to practice it. I sing, play the piano, and the guitar, and have composed songs for all of those practices, as well as symphonic orchestra.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have put it's teachings to the test. I have taken the principles taught here and applied them to my life, and every time I do, I notice opportunities to grow that wouldn't have been possible otherwise. I have lived this gospel for my whole life, and that foundation has given me a happiness that I don't think would be possible without it. I know that the teachings presented every Sunday are true, and that believing in them, trusting in them, and living them will always give a great reward. Even if you can't see it immediately, you will see and understand it in the future.

How I live my faith

I live my faith simply by upholding the standards taught in it on a daily basis. I haven't always had the greatest group of friends. But even though they sometimes offer them, I continue to refrain from the use of tobacco, alcohol, coffee, tea, or any other addictive substance or practice. This includes refraining from viewing any form of pornography. I refrain from these activities because I know they take power away from one's spiritual being, and give it to one's natural being. Empowering one's spiritual self is perhaps one of the most important points of this gospel, as it leads to greater enlightenment, better judgement, and a higher tier of happiness.
