Hi I'm Conner

I was born and raised in sunny San Diego California, I did Wrestling and Golf through high school, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up in Southern California was very cool, getting to go to the beach as often as i did, and always having perfect weather outside for just playing was very cool, but even with that beautiful sun outside, i would also play video games, I have played almost all video games, and i also enjoy Anime, and Youtube, I am definitely a nerd! But more than being outside and playing games, Family was at the center. If my family was doing something, we were always having fun, no matter what. I have 3 older brothers and 1 older sister, all married, and all have kids, i'm falling behind, i need to catch up haha. I am on a mission (out teaching others about the gospel) right now in Columbus Ohio, and i have been enjoying it, the people here are awesome!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church, My dad was too, but my mom is a convert. being born in the church is obviously very different than converting, at first i just did what my parents told me to do, sometimes very reluctantly. But as a grew older i realized how true and how beautiful this church is. For me I realized the church was true slowly, pretty much like a sunrise. i never had an AHA moment, on day i just realized, wow this church is true and i love it and nothing in this world or the next can shake my faith and belief in this church. I continue to be a Mormon because to me it just seems logical, it is something i just can't deny, i know it is true with all my heart and soul, and i always will.

How I live my faith

I participate in the church by serving a mission, At the moment I am Serving in Ohio, and I go around talking to people and teaching them more about our church, and more about Jesus Christ. I will be doing this for the next 2 years, and i know that i will grow from it. It's definitely hard being away from home for so long, and also being is such a different climate, but i love every minute of it. I have been able to experience so many different things and i get to feel the love God has for all his children. This is an incredible experience and i love sharing my love for god with others.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Conner
I have found that a huge reason why women do not have the priesthood is because they do not need it. I have seen that women normally have a stronger faith than men, and it is through faith that miracles are preformed. Men need the priesthood because they lack in strength. Another thing i realized is that women already have the huge responsibility of creating and raising a child. In families I see how much love parents have for their children, but a fathers love for his child cannot compete with the love and instincts of a mother. So with the motherly love, instincts, and faith, the mother raises her child, and with the priesthood, and love the father blesses and strengthens and empowers the children and mother. Women also have a very big role in the church in an organization called Relief Society, in this they lead others in helping those in need, providing support and strengthening the church, my mom is the leader of this in my congregation, and I can see up close the effect it has had on my family, and for everyone else that knows her. Women do not have a lesser role in the church, in fact, their role cannot be replaced by men, women are crucial in the building and moving forward The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.
