Hi I'm Kelsey

I'm own a videography business. I am a runner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a work-from-home mom trying to have it all. I started my own business for the flexibility. I don't want to miss a single library storytime with my sweetheart of a 1 1/2 year old. I am a very competitive runner and trying to fit that into the schedule takes some work, but I am just not ready to give up training! I love my family and where we're at right now, even if we are still trying to figure it all out.

Why I am a Mormon

Though my parents are also LDS, my faith comes from my own experiences. I have felt the Lord's presence on quiet trails and mountain tops, and as I rocked my little one in the early hours of the morning. I read and studied the Bible and Book of Mormon throughout my life . I question my beliefs all the time, but I have found that when I sincerely ponder whether or not my beliefs are merited, the answer is always yes. Living my faith has only ever led me to happiness, safety and peace. I can not and will not deny the witness and generosity of my Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

For me, living my faith is really all about being connected with God. I am very active in my Church, and I wish I could say I was a more active member of my community. At this point in my life, living my faith means striving to keep my thoughts and actions in line with my professed beliefs, and trying not to get too busy to pay attention to the touching moments I know come from a Heavenly Father who loves me. With my little one and starting a business, it's difficult not to get caught up in things that seem incredibly important, it seems like I have to redirect myself a million times a day; but I think that trying is everything. I know that as long as I keep praying, reading scriptures and trying my best to be like Jesus that I am living my faith.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Before Jesus Christ died on the cross, he knelt to pray in the Garden of Gethsemane. At this time, Christ took upon himself the sins of the world and suffered for them. He lived a sinless life, and so qualified as a Savior for us. His sacrifice satisfied the demands of Justice so that we have the opportunity to repent and turn away from our sins , and become clean again even after we've made mistakes. Show more Show less
