Hi I'm Natalie

I am a college student who loves having a social life and learning at school. Undecided major but I have many hopes and dreams!

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in Jacksonville, Florida. Before this I was attending college and afterwards I hope to finish my degree. However, I'm still undecided about which degree. Most likely with business or teaching. What I do know is that I have several hopes and dreams I would like to achieve including earning a Bachelor's degree! I am the oldest of seven children with one sister and five brothers. I'm passionate about the business club, DECA, and I love reading motivational business books. I also love helping others and being a friend to all. If I could go back to highschool I would because I loved meeting new people in every class and listening to what they're passionate about. I love playing the piano and writing stories. I'm obsessed with the color green and I like eating Chinese food and collecting fortunes from fortune cookies.

Why I am a Mormon

I found God over time, by searching and searching for Him. When I was 13, my close cousin passed away unexpectedly and that's when everything became scary. I felt scared thinking that I could die at anytime too and it left me wondering what really happens after death. I began praying and praying. I observed people, I read scriptures, you know I did everything that most people tell you to do to discover God for yourself. Heavenly Father did not respond quickly and suddenly, but over time I felt the spirit more and more when I attended the LDS or Mormon church. I felt Christ's love when I would read the Book of Mormon. Many people challenge my beliefs daily. Several people assume I am a Mormon because it's what my parents taught me. But that's not the reason. A girl questions me often asking how I could believe such a book. It may seem weird to some but you do not know for certain until you read it yourself. I know now that there is hope in the afterlife. We can be happy and return to be with friends and family again if we follow God's commandments. I know I will see my cousin again. Everyday as I continue to search for God and keep him with me, I discover day after day again why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I always look for ways to be like Christ and help others. I look for opportunities to be a friend to every person I meet and support them through difficult times. I try to be a friend by attending church activities weekly and making sure everyone feels included and has a friend. Even those not of my faith I look to serve and help them in any way that I can. I love all of my friends no matter what religion or differences there might be. By offering Christ-like love, I've seen how happy I can make others.
