Hi I'm Kim

I grew up in sunny southern Utah! I love the red rocks and weather perfect for hiking, biking, and playing tennis. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love doing anything outside! I love rollerblading with my sisters and giving piggy-backs to my fifteen nieces and nephews. Although I'm pretty amateur, I like to play the guitar. Spending times with friends is one of my favorite things, whether we are out doing something or just chilling or watching a movie. I love to play games, and I may be a little to competitive for my own good. I'm a college student and school sometimes pushes me to my limits. I love my family tons, and I look up to my four older siblings who are well established in their families and careers.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because living what we as mormons believe makes me so happy! In the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I get to learn more about Jesus Christ and come closer to Him as I try to follow His teachings and His example. I know that this church contains the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Through the ordinances we perform and the covenants that we make, we build our foundations on Him. I know that Jesus Christ lived, suffered, and died for me. Because of Him I can be forgiven and be pure in the sight of the Father. Because of Him I can live immortally and eternally after this life. Because of Him I can overcome hard things and receive strength beyond my own. He is the prince of peace, and because of him I have received peace and comfort in the middle of turmoil and hardship. The love that I feel from my Savior and my Heavenly Father is beyond my understanding. It is the purest love I've ever known and it is ALWAYS there, no matter how I'm living. But that love inspires me to do better, to do what I know is right, and to share it with others. I have received such great peace and direction to my life through reading the Book of Mormon. Joy fills my life as I read it, and through the Holy Ghost I know that it is true. I know that the prophet Joseph Smith translated this book with the hand of God and restored the gospel of Christ to the earth. I know that the modern-day prophet and apostles are called of God, because I have received direct personal revelation from God through them. They are not just preachers to the masses, but they are the mouthpiece of the Lord. I try to live the commandments because I have seen the blessings that come! Every commandment is for my own happiness and well-being. I am not forced to do anything, but the more Godliness I let into my life the happier I get to be! God has taught me what to do if I want to enjoy his richest blessings, which is living the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a friendly, caring, and happy person. I try to keep the promises I've made to remember Jesus Christ and follow Him. I attend weekly Sunday meetings and participate in the sacrament, which is when I get to renew those covenants or promises. I participate in visiting teaching, where I visit sisters in the ward, share messages of hope, and help in any way I can. I live my faith by looking for opportunities to serve, such as at the community soup kitchen or food pantry. I have found that service brings such happiness! Opportunities to serve can be found daily and it doesn't matter how small the act. I live my faith by strengthening my fellow man through service, activities, callings in the church, spending time with others, and sharing words of kindness, encouragement, and love. I live my faith by strengthening my relationships with my family. I live my faith by working hard towards good things and not wasting time or being idle. I live my faith by looking at every person on earth as equal, because we are all children of God with divine potential and worth.
