Hi I'm Brady

I grew up in Southern Utah. I got an Associates Degree before I graduated High School. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Southern Utah. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and occasionally playing some video games. I really like to understand how things work. If I don't understand something I will usually look it up right away because if I don't it will bother me. I graduated High School recently and I am planning on serving a 2 year religious mission for my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am heading out soon for the Oregon Salem Mission and I am really excited to serve the Lord for 2 years, even though it is a little daunting. But I'm sure with the Lord on my side everything will be fine and I will do many great things in His service while I am out there. I am planning on attending college, after my mission, at Utah State University and majoring in Engineering (of some sort).

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents are members and I was born into this church but this does not mean that I don't have a belief or testimony that this church is true. I am a faithful member in this Church because the Holy Ghost has testified it to me when I have asked. Also everything that this the LDS Church preaches just makes complete sense. Scriptures say that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. If this scripture is true then God's church on the earth today should look the exact same as it did in biblical times. In biblical times God sent prophets to help teach and guide his people back to him. Since he is the same all throughout eternity, then the true church on the Earth today should also have prophets to help lead and guide its members and the LDS Church is basically the only church that has living prophets today. I also have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. It is a true book and I know that if you will read it with a sincere desire to know if the words in it are true, the Holy Ghost will tell you in your mind and heart that it is true. And if the Book of Mormon is a true book that means that Joseph Smith, our first latter day prophet, is a true prophet and he really did see God the Father and His Son. That also in turn means that we have a living prophet on the Earth today and everything falls into place. I know all these things to be true and I again promise that if you will go to the Lord in sincere prayer he will manifest the truth of it unto you.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday I attend church for all of the meetings of that day. It is 3 hours long but I never miss a Sunday because when I go to church my week turns out a whole lot better than if I didn't attend on Sunday. In my church I am a Elder, which means that I help to bless and pass the Sacrament on occasion. I also participate in hometeaching which is where 2 men go and visit some families in the ward to check up on them, see if they need anything, and to deliver a short message about the Gospel. As I complete these duties, I feel good because I know I am doing what the Lord wants me to. I also know that I am receiving blessings for doing what he asks of me.
