Hi I'm Gilbert

I'm pretty easy going. I love to swim, hang out with friends, and read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First and foremost, I'm a son of our loving Heavenly Father. I'm the sixth child of nine, and I have six step-brothers and sisters. I love to swim and have always enjoyed playing all kinds of sports. I love music and play a small variety of instruments, although I can't promise that I'm very good with a few of them. I moved around a bit during my childhood, so now I can say I've lived in Utah, California, and the great state of Texas. I've gained a love for reading and could read for hours if you put a good book in my hands. I would love to travel when I'm done with school, and I've learned that kindness is the answer to nearly everything. I love my family and I love the Gospel. I'm preparing to leave on a two-year mission very soon.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life. I was raised in the Gospel, and it's hard to say just how much I've been blessed. As I've grown, I've learned a lot about the Gospel, and about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I participate in the young single adult group in my area and I love it! I get the chance to help out with service projects, and I attend a scripture class every Tuesday evening. I always try to be an example of my faith in the way I interact with others. Needless to say, I'm a big believer in leading by example. I used to help organize activities like dances and service projects for the youth in my area, and I'm in the choir at my church. I've participatied in musical numbers for church on a number of occasions, and I try to visit and teach members in their homes as a home teacher.
