Hi I'm Angie

I am from the United States. I'm a wife, mother of 4, and personal trainer; and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a busy wife, mother, and personal trainer. I love to study and teach about health and fitness. I have a personal goal to be fit for life, which I have kept thus far. I also love to sing, write, travel, and study about self-mastery.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read the Bible and the Book of Mormon and found them to be true and to work together. The Bible teaches what characteristics are be to found in the Lord's true church and I have found that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has all of them including worshiping Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, temples, the priesthood, evangelists, baptism for the dead, baptism by emersion, prophets, apostles, etc. As a Mormon, we are taught to live the teachings of Jesus Christ and to cultivate the attributes of the Savior such as charity, patience and obedience. I have found that the results of living the teachings of Christ's gospel are love, joy and peace. I feel the spirit of the Lord very strongly when I read the Bible and the Book of Mormon and when I live the teachings of Jesus Christ. Mormons have high standards that I feel both protect and bring joy and peace to those who diligently try to live them. I have visited many other churches, and I think many of them are very good. Many are filled with wonderful christian or other-faith people who have dedicated their lives to following Jesus Christ or whatever they believe in. But there is a different feeling that I have, almost an emptiness, that I don't have when I attend a Mormon church. I believe that the Mormon Church, or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, contains the fullness of Christ's gospel, restored in the latter-days just as Jesus promised He would do. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is not a break off from any other christian religion. This may be one reason why many people don't consider us christian. But we are christian. We believe that this church was restored directly by Jesus Christ in its fullness through his chosen prophet. God spoke through his prophets of old. Why would he not do the same thing now? My testimony is that He lives and loves us and is as involved in our lives today as he was with the children of Israel centuries ago.

How I live my faith

I currently help run our local church program for children ages 3 to 11. I love children and helping them learn that they are children of God and that he loves them.
