Hi I'm Tami

I am a missionary serving in the Tokyo South, Japan mission.

About Me

I moved a lot as a child, but finally settled in Washington state when I was 5 years old with my parents. I have lived there ever since and love it. I have completed my first year of college at Brigham Young University (BYU) and have been called to serve in the Tokyo South, Japan mission as full time missionary. I love photography and hope to pursue it in the future. I have been a dancer my whole life and particularly enjoy tap dancing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because nothing else in my life has ever brought me as much joy and comfort as this religion has. I was born into the Church, but did not really attend any church meetings until I was about 7 years old. Since then I have loved everything about being a member of this Church. I have truly felt my Savior's love for me throughout my life as well as my Heavenly Father's love. During hard times in my life this gospel has lifted me up and has given me guidance. I know that it will always provide me with a support system and I know it is true. I have no doubts that this is the true and restored church on Earth today. I continue to follow this gospel because when I have been consistently obedient by reading the scriptures, praying, attending church, and keeping the commandments, I have been the happiest. Those have been the happiest times of my life and while I may have still faced trials, I was able to overcome them and be strong because of the strength my Father in Heaven has blessed me with. This church means so much to me and has provided me with such a strong basis for my life. It has guided me, comforted me, and shown me what pure, full joy is. I love this gospel with all my heart and am so grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I have participated in my ward in many different ways from being a leader in various classes and conducting music, to being a leader and helper at Girl's Camp. When I was a teenager, I would help the other girls my age reach out to others and do service. I try to live my faith constantly, even while not at church by being an example and sharing the light of Christ.
