Hi I'm Madeline Williamson

I love music. I'm a student at Brigham Young University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a simple person. I love listening to and playing music, I love swimming and all sorts of water sports, I love reading and watching movies, I love sewing, I love trying new kinds of food, but most of all I love spending time with my family! Family time is my favorite! Whenever we're together, I'm with my very best friends :-) We've had to move a few times during my life because my dad is an Air Force pilot, but that has just helped us become better friends and learn to love each other through the rough times. There are 6 kids in my family, and for some, that might be overwhelming, but I'm so glad that I have 5 awesome siblings (plus a brother-in-law and niece and nephew, and a soon-to-be sister-in-law!!) and 2 wonderful parents! Our family is always growing, but I love it and each new member is instantly loved as much as the next. The best way to know me is to know my family. We're crazy, but we love each other!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been extremely blessed to be able to learn about this gospel my entire life! It's been wonderful to be able to learn about Jesus Christ and his teachings, as well as the Restoration of His church in these Latter days. I have been able to learn these things every day at home; in my church meetings; during high school, my seminary classes; and now that I'm in college, from professors of religion at Brigham Young University. I love learning these truths, they bring me so much joy! I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's church restored on the earth today. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet and was an instrument in God's hands as he translated the Book of Mormon with power and authority from God. With that same authority, Joseph Smith restored Christ's true church to this earth, led by those that have been blessed with proper priesthood authority from God. I know that we have a living prophet today, and that he and his apostles are called of God. They lead and guide this church and counsel us as we do our best to live righteously and keep God's commandments. I know the Book of Mormon is true, that it was written by prophets called of God, and through reading the teachings within it, we are strengthened and learn how to best keep God's commandments to live righteously. I know that Jesus Christ, my Savior, atoned for my sins in the Garden of Eden and died on the cross so that I can repent and someday be resurrected to return to my Father in Heaven. I cannot express the gratitude that I feel for this gospel and the truths I have learned. This is the most joyous message! I love this gospel and I KNOW it is true!

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day through simple service at home and I do my best to keep the commandments each day as I study them in the scriptures. I've served as a youth in church callings helping other youth, and am about to become a full-time missionary within the next week and a half (June 10th, 2015)! I am so excited to have the opportunity to serve and teach others about the gospel of Jesus Christ and share with them my testimony of this gospel. For the next 18 months I will be able to share my faith every single day and have the opportunity to help others come unto Christ and to feel his tremendous love for them!
