Hi I'm Kali McMinn

I grew up in Idaho. I am a student at BYU. I love playing and watching sports. I love being with my family and friends.

About Me

I am currently a student at BYU and I am not quite sure what I want to be but I know for sure that I am going in to the medical field for sure. I love helping people and making new friends. I love sports both watching and playing. I played softball, basketball and ran cross country. I love watching football and baseball. Anything outdoors and I will most definitely be there. I love my family very much. I am the oldest of 3 siblings. I am constantly listening to all kinds of music but mostly country. I have been called to serve in the California Los Angeles mission Spanish speaking and I am so excited to get to teach the people of LA about their loving Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I am lucky enough to be born into a family where both of my parents were already members. I grew up learning about the Bible and The Book of Mormon. My parents set a great example to me of how I can live this Gospel. I am a Mormon because I know that my Savior Jesus Christ lived, died, and lives again. He suffered for our sins and died on the cross so that we could be forgiven of all the sins that we may have committed. Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ we are not only forgiven of our sins but we can receive comfort and help for any trials that we endure. We are never alone. Jesus Christ is always there whenever we pray to Him. I am a Mormon because I know that The Book of Mormon is a true book and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God who was called to restore the true church upon the earth today. The Book of Mormon contains the full gospel and is another testament of Jesus Christ. I found this to be true by reading the book and praying to my Heavenly Father with faith and a sincere heart. I received a calm, peaceful feeling from the Holy Ghost reassuring me that it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by trying to follow Jesus' example by being loving and kind to all those around me. I pray to my Heavenly Father both morning and night and I read the Book of Mormon to receive guidance and support through the Holy Ghost. I visit some girls to check up on them and to see if there is anything I can do to help them. I live my faith by participating in any act of service I can. Whether it is something as simple as helping my siblings with a task such as cleaning their room or something bigger such as cleaning someone's house who is in need I try to make people's lives a little bit easier. I live my faith by trying to be the best that I can be.
