Hi I'm Jess

I was born in Japan, and have traveled and lived in many different places. I'm a military brat and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Welp. I'm the middle child out of three siblings. I have an older bro and a lil bro, and a father and a mother. My family also has a family dog, a dachshund, named Oscar. I love to listen to music, draw, paint, sing, read, play video games, and daydream. I also love playing a variety of sports such as, volleyball, softball, basketball, and I love swimming. Tho I'm not that good at any of them. I aspiring to become an animator, I've already finished my freshman year in the art college I'm going to. Hurray. I'm going on a mission to Sapporo, Japan. I can't wait to go to Hokkaido and teach the gospel to the people there.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the gospel, so I grew up with the gospel principles and commandments etched into my head. However, I am usually the type person who "go with the flow" which lead me to decisions that left me empty. As I grew older I found myself in darker places and my overall attitude on life was negative. I had slowly forgotten to say my prayers and read my scriptures and my testimony faltered. However, I still had faith in Jesus Christ and I always looked for him, especially at my lowest. If it weren't for my testimony of Jesus Christ I probably would not be an active member of this church. I eventually decided to put past decisions behind me and started looking towards the future.

How I live my faith

As a youth in the church I have participated in many church youth activities as well as youth conferences. I was part of the young women's youth council in my ward and was the president of the young women's council my final year as a youth. Currently, as I've mentioned before, I am going to serve a mission in Japan. I'm going to do my best teach my believes and sharing my testimony while respecting the culture of Japan and the people.
