Hi I'm Shirley

I grew up in New Hampshire. I'm a nurse and a grandmother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in New Hampshire and have lived here my entire life; this is beautiful country! I am a retired nurse and love this season of my life, having quality time with my beloved spouse and family. We have a blended family of six children and twelve grandchildren. We enjoy watching them grow and being part of their lives. We enjoy doing family history research, traveling and volunteer work and hanging out with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I love my Savior and what He did for me. While reading the Book of Mormon I recognized that it is the word of God written by ancient prophets who testified of Christ. When I was baptized I made covenants, or promises, with God and I continually strive to live by those covenants. My membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has changed my life for good. I am happy. I see things with an eternal perspective and know that I have a purpose. Challenges and adversity, which occur in all our lives are easier to manage. I understand that challenges are part of our human condition and I never feel alone or without heaven's help. I love learning and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It has made all the difference.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving and serving my fellow men. Being a member of the Church, I have been able to feel a deep love for those around me because I know that we are all Heavenly Father's children. I love to serve and be with them. I still make mistakes, and I don't always serve easily, but I know that everything we do has a purpose. I know that Heavenly Father places certain people in our path so that we can help them and they can edify us.
