Hi I'm Kimberly

I speak Chinese and help teach it. I am fighting Depression. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah and have lived between its mountains all my life. I went to college for only a year and a half before I was diagnosed with depression, at which point I returned home to find strength and support in my family and through doctors, and through the Atonement of my Savior. My two intellectual goals are to go to China and live there for at least a month, and to one day become an editor of stories, to help people create their best work.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born into the LDS Church, I still had to be converted, or "born again" as Paul teaches. The strength of my conversion came through thousands of tiny choices over time, followed by peaceful confirmations through the Lord's Spirit that what I was doing was right, or the uncomfortable feeling of emptiness when I did something wrong. Through my good choices and bad, I never had to wonder if my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ loved me. That is what carried me through the dark times. When I could feel no happiness, Their love for me could be felt even when I was numb to everything else. That is why I am a Mormon, because I have "felt to sing the song of redeeming love." And once I felt that love, I knew I couldn't live without it. And now I simply have to share it. 3

How I live my faith

Near the beginning of 2015, I was called by my bishop to serve the women in my area in the Compassionate Service Committee, which gives me the opportunity to share Christ's love with every sister I meet. The service I give brings me closer to my Savior, because His whole life was spent serving. I am nowhere near perfect at it, but that won't stop me from trying.
