Hi I'm Scott Gill

I'm the spoiled baby of my family. I own too many NBA jerseys. Laughing is my favorite hobby. I hope to tweet for a living.

About Me

I grew up in Lawrence, Kansas and moved to Heber City, Utah when I was 13. After graduating from Wasatch High School I spent a year at BYU, and I'll be serving my mission in the Missouri Independence Mission until April 2017. I live a very simple life, in which my main hobbies involve sports, either playing them, watching them, or talking about them. My allegiance is with the Kansas Jayhawks basketball team and I will eternally be the driver of the Jimmer Fredette bandwagon. I played basketball my entire life growing up and started playing tennis my sophomore year of high school. I also love different TV shows like The Office, Parks and Rec, and Friends. I quote them more than any normal human being should. I try not to be a hipster about music, and playlists I listen to generally consist of J Cole, John Mayer, and any other song I can get turnt to as a standard Mormon white kid.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the promise in Moroni Chapter 10 of the Book of Mormon. Though I was born a Mormon and never really questioned doing anything else while growing up, I have stayed because I received an answer to my prayer that the Book of Mormon was true. I was 14 and it was pretty much the first real, sincere prayer I had ever said. Fortunately I've had many more answered since then.

How I live my faith

I was lucky enough to be born into a family that already were active members of the LDS church. Through their faith, I lived the principles that they taught me were correct until I was able to make a decision for myself of which direction I wanted my life to go. Living my faith has come through making choices for myself that have strengthened my testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel has taken me on a journey that has led me to serve in the Missouri Independence Mission from May 2015 to May 2017.
