Hi I'm Milena

I'm Salvadorian, I love giving service and I'm a Mormon

About Me

My name is Milena, I was born in the beautiful country of El Salvador. I am currently serving a mission in Los Angeles California. My family and I moved to sunny South Florida when I was 12 and boy has it been a ride. My favorite things about Florida are the diverse culture and cuisine, I do enjoy a good pastelito. I am mostly excited to serve the Lord and my brothers and sisters in California. I truly believe in the Lords timing and in trusting him in all things, I take comfort in the fact that I can go strait to the source of all wisdom and ask and my prayers will always be answered with love and truth, I encourage you to ask and see the miracles and blessing unfold.

Why I am a Mormon

My family and I are all converts into the church. I was about 6 years old when my mother received the answer that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the true church and got baptized. When I was 8 I received my own answered and I was baptized by my Bishop. I love the gospel, I love knowing that I dont have to trust men's words but I can go to the source and receive an answer, I love knowing that my family can be together forever along with all those members who I have not met because that is the plan of happiness that our Heavenly Father has created. I love reading the Book of Mormon and The Bible, there you can truly find the words of God and the fullness of his gospel. I am a Mormon because I have asked and I have received and I encourage you to do the same.

How I live my faith

I love giving service, it doesn't matter who it is given to, we're all brothers and sisters. my first calling ever was as the ward chorister, I get to stand in the front of the congregation and lead the prayers turned into songs to the Lord, it is my favorite way to invite the spirit. I have also held callings as the Young Women's teacher and Sunday School teacher, In loved those calling specially because it's true what they say, the teacher learns more than the students specially because the spirit really guides you on what to teach based on what the student needs to hear. My current calling is Second Counselor in the primary and I LOVE IT! The little ones have a spirit that cannot be compared to anything, It's so unique and wonderful. I often find myself learning from their forgiving hearts and unconditional love. We must be as little children if we want to inherit the kingdom of God.
