Hi I'm James W. Thompson

I grew up in Eastern Oregon in a little community. I joined the Mormon Church when I was 18. I love the joy the gospel brings.

About Me

I'm a retired Audiologist. I'm married with four grown children and eighteen grandchildren. Family history is a passion which connects me to my ancestors.

Why I am a Mormon

When my father was a young man in Eastern Oregon, he observed a family in need being helped by individuals from a neighboring town. He found out these people helping were Mormons. He promised himself that if given the opportunity to hear about this church he would do so. Forty-three years later, missionaries knocked on our door. My parents and I were baptized three weeks later. I knew immediately that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the restored gospel. Two years later I served as a missionary in Australia inviting others to come to Christ.

How I live my faith

Throughout my membership in the Mormon Church, I have always tried to share with others the joy the gospel brings to me. I have served in various positions including a Bishop in the church. Since we are all children of our Heavenly Father, I love meeting new people and learning about them.
