Hi I'm Kristie

I'm a beach girl turned desert girl. I'm in love with architecture and decor. I'm a mother and wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always enjoyed an active lifestyle, and my favorite place to be is outdoors. I spent many of my teenage year at the beach and that is where I feel the most happy. Now that I live in the desert, I have found joy and beauty in my surroundings here, but I still find time every year to come back home to share my love of the beach with my family. I have always enjoyed being creative and using the inspiration around me to create beautiful things. I love to make a home beautiful, and I love to make a yard beautiful as well, although I'm still learning! I'm a mother in my 30's that still loves to get outside with the kids and ride my skateboard from time to time. My happiest moments are being together with my family spending time together and laughing together!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised around many good people that showed me by example what it means to be a disciple of Christ. I naturally wanted to be like them, and over time I gained my own testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. When you are following the teachings of Christ, you naturally become the kind of person that people want to be around and be like, as I did when I was a young child. I also believe that there is no joy to be found in the world like the joy you find in being a disciple of Christ. There is so much counterfeit joy in the world that I have partaken in from time to time, but the older I get the farther and farther away I push myself from the world, because I have found that true joy isn't there and can only be found through my Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have spent many of my adult years with youth and helping them feel loved and find their testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Some people are really great with kids, and some are really great with youth. I relate more to the latter. I sometimes feel that I am still their age and feel I can relate to the feelings and emotions that they are going through. I have also become such a big advocate for visiting teaching. Everyone in our ward is assigned women to care for and look after. I think it is so awesome that there is a system to keep everyone accounted for. I find a lot of joy in getting to know my sisters that I teach, and becoming their friend.
