Hi I'm Jenna

I am a student at BYU who loves libraries, rainy days, and ugly sweaters, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a chocoholic and a book-lover. When I'm not busy being a college student, I am most likely writing songs on a guitar or ukulele. I love libraries and learning in any form, and a large part of my education has come from traveling; my family has been living in Germany for the past couple years and I have been able to visit some truly awe-inspiring locations throughout our time here. My favorite places to visit are Switzerland (you know, because of the chocolate) and England (because of the literature), but I've never seen a view I don't love!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a good Mormon family and have grown up in the Church. Because of that, I was raised to recognize the presence of Heavenly Father in my life. As I have grown, my parents' testimony of the gospel has become my own; I know that I am a child of God, that He loves me and cares for me and listens to my prayers. I am so fortunate to have had this knowledge for the whole 19 years I have been on the earth, and I know that I am a better person today than I would have been without that knowledge. I have observed the incredible power of righteous patterns in my life; patterns of scripture study and prayer give me strength, comfort, and peace as I deal with the challenges of life.

How I live my faith

In a couple weeks, I will be reporting to the Missionary Training Center in Utah to learn how to be an effective representative of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. From there, I will head to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to serve as a missionary for 18 months. My decision to serve a mission has stemmed from many things, but mostly I have learned that I am happiest when I am living the gospel and serving the Lord, and if I can share that happiness with my brothers and sisters around the world, every effort is worth it!
