Hi I'm Joy

Hi, I retired from Hospice Care. I am going on a Mission to share the Joy of Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a widow, when my husband passed, I made a quilt out of men's neck ties. I asked friends that knew and loved my Husband if they would contribute a tie to my quilt project so ties came from all over the country as other friends heard of my quilt and wanted to be a part of it. This was my first quilt I am now learning and enjoying making other quilts. I enjoy painting crafts, easy Sudoku, Puzzles-500-750 pieces only, I especially enjoy watching my grandkids they are so talented and entertaining. I enjoy going for walks and to the Temple.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. BUT, I had to find out for myself. I have read and reread The Bible, The Book Of Mormon, and other scriptures and prayed to know if the things I read were true. I now know through the Holy Ghost that these Scriptures are of God, and so can you. I can't imagine one without the other. They fit together and talk about Christ and each other so well. I have worked in Hospice Care for many years and I know there is life after death from the things I have seen and felt. I have talked with the patients and families of many different faiths and it has always reconfirmed to me of the truths taught in the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Where we came from, why we are here, and where we go after this life.

How I live my faith

In my ward I have been assigned to be a visiting teacher. (we each check on a number of ladies to visit and see to their needs monthly) I get to visit and care for 5 sisters, whom I have grown to love and cherish. I have extended this to include co-workers, friends and to my extended family members who I know would enjoy a visit.
