Hi I'm Tayler

I grew up in Oregon and Texas. I play soccer and tennis. I love dogs.I'm an artist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love pretty much any kind of sport. I'll hop into any game whether it is bocce ball, football, badminton, anything. I love to do art, especially scratch boards. Not very many people I know do it and I recently found a love for it and being able to see the end piece is so rewarding. I am collector of ties. I'll just be walking into a store and start looking at all the different ties there are Seeing the many different styles, colors and patterns just intrigue me and it's my way of being stylish. I also love my music. Pretty much any kind out there I will be willng to listen to. Also listening to artists putting their different spin on popular song titles, pure instrumental music, and some good old classic jazz music. Hanging out with my friends is also something I really enjoy. Being able to shae experiences, be who I am, and just goof around.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this church since I was born. i originally leaning on my parents testimony and used that to grow on my knowledge of the gospel. There came a time in my life in about my teenage years where I was like, you know I think I need to find all f this out for myself. I was able to come to realize about God's plan for us at a church camp, Especially For Youth. I went to a class where an man was discussing that, and at the end of it I was in tears because I could feel the Holy Ghost testifying to me that this was true. People seem to challenge The Book of Mormon's accuracy, or even if it's true. I can testify that I know it is true and that it supports The Bible. The youth in our area were challenged to read The Book of Mormon before a huge trip we were going to take to Nauvoo, where a lot of the Church's growing happened and major events occurred with Joseph Smith. So I began reading The Book of Mormon, but only read it everyonce in a while. I never had a set schedule or sincere desire to read it. Many youth read it before the trip, but I had not. So my deep desire to know came in full force. I finished the book in February and did just what Moroni 10:4-5 says, I prayed to know. I heard stories about how people felt the Holy Ghost right then and knew The Book of Mormon was true. I didn't feel anything and it was dissapointing. So I kept praying day after day and it took five months at a church camp, Especially For Youth, when I prayed on my knees for the first time by myself, alone, in silence. The Spirit overwhelmed me when I asked if The Book of Mormon was true, I began crying and knew for a fact that it was true. I know that our prophet today, Thomas S Monson, was called of God and that the Restoration of the Church happened and that it is true. I've chosen to be a member of His church because I know it is true. I know this is Christ's church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I have been a ward missionary for about 2 years, I go out with our full time missionaries and help them to teach the gospel to those who are willing to receive it. Even though I am not with our youth anymore because of my age I am still friends with many of them and keep supporting them in church. I have served as a youth representative for our area, in which I helped to plan area youth activities. Varying from dances that were held, to creating new ideas and activities for the youth.
