Hi I'm Laurie

I'm from Wyoming. I enjoy chemistry and learning. I want to be a pharmacist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Wyoming. I have 4 older brothers and an older sister. I have 2 nephews and a niece. I love to spend time with my family and friends. I am adventurous and will try anything once! I am serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints right now.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the happiness it brings to my life. When studying the Atonement and understanding Christ's sacrifice for us, I feel incredibly blessed and cared for. I know that my Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us and he wants us to be happy. I have lived my life both ways, and I am much happier when I follow the commandments of God. I know the happiness and peace that comes from following the true gospel of Jesus Christ. The most important knowledge that I have gained as a member of this church is that I am a daughter of God and that I have the potential to become like my Heavenly Father. I know that by living the gospel standards I will be able to live with him again some day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to keep high standards in my work and school. I try my best to live with integrity in a world where integrity is lost. I share my unique experiences with those around me and try to help people through their trials. I live my faith by being an example to others and turning to the Lord in all that I do. I seek to apply the Atonement of Jesus Christ in my every day life. I pray and read from the Book of Mormon daily. I look for opportunities to serve those around me. I testify that God has a plan for each of us and that the gospel can fill any need that we may have.

In whom should we have faith?

Laurie
We should have faith in our Heavenly Father who loves us more than we can comprehend. He wants us to return to live with Him some day. Because He loves us, He sent his son, Jesus Christ, to the earth to atone for our sins. We should also have faith in Jesus Christ and accept the love he showed for us by performing the Atonement. As our faith is centered in our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, we will be strong enough to withstand all the temptations and evil in the world around us. Show more Show less
