Hi I'm Rachel

I am currently serving in the Independence Missouri Mission and I love it! And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love oil painting, running, and doing anything outdoors. Movies and music make this world go round- I love them. I'm planning on majoring in Interior Design when I return from my mission. I am the 8th out of 11 children in my family. My parents and siblings are pretty much super heroes. I grew up as a Mormon and it has forever changed my life for the best.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon. My parents were raised as Mormon's as well. I know that this has been a huge blessing in my life. We all have our ups and downs, but knowing that there is a Heavenly Father that truly loves and cares for each and every person is so comforting. There comes a time in everyone's life where we need to decide for ourselves what we want to believe and what we know to be true. When this time came for me, I went to the source. I prayed and asked my Heavenly Father if what I had been taught my whole life is true or not. My answer didn't come all at once. But I felt like I needed to read the Book of Mormon. While reading the Book of Mormon, I felt warmth and happiness that came from it's teachings. I knew that this book was from God. I have a testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know this to be true with my whole heart. This has made me into who I am today and I am eternally grateful for the knowledge that I have.

How I live my faith

Everyday is the perfect opportunity to be happy. I try to be the best person that I can be. Praying, reading scriptures, and smiling just makes everyday the best. Serving others when you're down, is the greatest medicine.
