Hi I'm Kiana

I'm a runner, a student, a sister, a friend. I love mountains and rain. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a beautiful valley in northern Utah. There, I learned to love to explore the world through running around the streets and mountains, and from hiking trips with my family. I have four older sisters and one little brother, and my siblings are some of my greatest friends. I love to spend time with people, build friendships, and laugh. I love to be active, be it running, hiking, jump roping, playing games--anything, really. I love to learn, everything and anything. I recently completed my first year at BYU, and I loved dedicating myself to studying and learning new things every day. I love to read, and to learn about what is going on in the world. I love to travel, and see new places and learn more about the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy! The days and weeks that I am doing the things that the Mormon church teaches are the times when I am happiest. The times when I digress a little, even if it's just small things, I don't feel as happy, and feel like something is missing! I am a Mormon because it's been witnessed to me that this Church is true--that it was truly restored by a prophet, Joseph Smith, in the Latter-days, and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, like the Bible is. I am a Mormon because I know that my current family is blessed so much by the gospel principles, and that my future family will be as well. I am Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ died, and was Resurrected, for me and every single person who has lived, lives now, or wil live.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending weekly church meetings and activities. This year, when I attended college, I had the opportunity to serve the girls who were in my apartment complex by teaching them a couple times a year gospel topics, visiting them in their apartments, and by leading the weekly church meetings. At first, it was intimidating, but I grew to love these girls so much. I also live my faith by looking for opportunities to serve those around me. I live my faith by studying the scriptures and praying to my Heavenly Father daily, to find direction and comfort in my life.
