Hi I'm Teya

I grew up in Hawaii. I love to write. I'm a violinist. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been going to BYU studying advertising, because that field seemed to include all the other majors I was thinking about going into as a high school senior. I'm taking a break from that to go on a mission to Russia, and am really excited to learn about about the culture and Russian language while serving the people there. I love music, and the violin, which I have been playing for about 15 years now. I also enjoy spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the peace and order that the gospel brings to my life. I've seen how it has shaped me into a better person, and helped my family to thrive in both hard, and good times.

How I live my faith

I try to live what I have been taught every day, in the normal, everyday things that go on. For the last two years, I was able to help people in my ward with family history, which I always thought was more fun than work. I always enjoy finding new stories about ancestors and family members. Now I am going to take 18 months off of school to serve a mission in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
