Hi I'm Katerina Sanders

I love music, I love to share the gospel, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my freshman year of college and Utah State University. I love playing instruments and singing in choir. I am always reading a new book. I was raised in the church. I will be serving a full time mission in Colorado Springs.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because The Holy Spirit has testified of the truth of this gospel to me. I have received confirmation that the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ are true and complete. Heavenly Father has shown His hand in my life on countless occasions and has blessed me for living the gospel. I have been fully converted to this gospel through trials of my life that have proven to me that living the gospel of Jesus Christ as restored in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only way to find peace and lasting joy. My parents divorced when I was two years old and I used to feel upset about this but, through the healing power of Christ's atonement, I have been able to feel peace and security in Heavenly Father's plan. I have been blessed with many opportunities in which my experience with divorce has allowed me to help and serve others. I know that Heavenly Father gives us experiences to help us grow and to shape us into the person He needs us to be. Because of this testimony I have, there is no way I could not live in accordance with the gospel as I have come to know just how desperately I need Heavenly Father's love, hand, and guidance in my life.

How I live my faith

At Utah State University we have an amazing Institute of Religion where different religion classes are offered. This past year I have been able to take classes about the New Testament, Teachings of Latter Day Prophets, and Missionary Preparation, as well as be involved in the Institute Choir. Before I left for college I was called to conduct the music in church. With that calling, I felt as though I was better able to appreciate the words of the hymns as I was expected to lead the congregation and invite the Spirit.
