Hi I'm Callie

I grew up in bits of Utah and Idaho. I love to adventure. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest daughter of three girls and am sometimes considered the second mom. I just finished my first year of college at Dixie State University and will be majoring in nursing, ER to be specific. Recently I have been called to serve in the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh Mission. I love to be outside! If it includes water, biking, rock climbing, camping, or trying something new sign me up! Pushing myself to new limits is something that I love to do!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. I grew up in the church, but everyday I feel like I have been reconverted to its teachings. This gospel is constant. When I need structure, balance, or a good friend to turn to, I know that this gospel is one that I can always turn to. I am a Mormon because I know that the Gospel and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true!!

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily. Talking about the gospel, reading my scriptures, and looking for how Gods hand has influenced my life are great ways that keep my testimony strong. I currently have a calling in my Young Single Adults ward to plan activities every Monday night. I absolutely love bringing everyone together to mingle, have fun, and be involved in a good and uplifting environment. I surround my self with things that make me feel happy. Music, friends, movies, and many worldly things can distract me from feeling Heavenly Fathers love. By making the decision to live my faith daily, I already know that I can say no when something I don't feel comfortable with comes up.

What is faith?

Callie
Faith is trusting. There are so many things in this world that we try to find answers for, and sometimes we cant. Faith is believing, knowing, or trusting that something is true even if you may not know the answer right away. At times it might be hard or scary to have faith in big things. When this happens, I find it easier to start having faith in the little things that will eventually lead to having faith in the big things. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Callie
Just like Christs 12 apostles, all disciples of Christ are asked to go forth and share His gospel. We proselyte because we want to share with others what has blessed our lives so greatly! By dedicating the period of time that we do to proselyting, we have faith that God will direct our efforts for good and we will be able to help many. Show more Show less
