Hi I'm Lance

Kia Ora, Bula Vinaka. Im from Porirua. Windy Welly. I'm a husband, father of 5, server engineer and a runner. I'm also a Mormon..

About Me

By day I work in IT. I ran my first marathon this year, also enjoy Bball, indoor netball and crossfit. I have an amazing wife we both studied while having kids and she worked full time as well. I have a bachelor of Information Technology and she completed a teaching degree in Maori. Our life is for our kids we spend time and sometimes money creating memorable experiences for our family.

Why I am a Mormon

I like many others grew up close to the church. I was challenged by my mother to read and pray to know whether or not the church was indeed true. In one short afternoon as a 16 year old I prayed and read from the book of Mormon fully expecting an answer. I received the answer almost immediately its hard to describe the feeling but it was very warm within my chest and I felt the things I was reading was true. I later learned this was the holy spirit which testifies of truth. Through this and many more experiences I know this church is true and if i can stay faithful I will be blessed to live with my family in the next life.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life with a few simple golden rules. Do the best you can each day. Help others as I would want to be helped. I have spent two years teaching about Jesus Christ to the people in Fiji and continue to share my beliefs with anyone willing to hear more. I'm currently a leader in church and I strive to help others reach their goals. Whether Spiritual, Physical, Financial or Educational. I read the Book of Mormon on my daily train ride to work this helps me to become closer to God so I can know what I should be doing in my life.
