Hi I'm Abby Veibell

I live in Utah. I taught english in Thailand, and I have been called to serve in the Chile, Antofagasta mission.

About Me

I played soccer from when I was four until I was 18, and I loved it! I also was part of the student body at my school my senior year. I am in college, but I have taken a leave of absence to serve in the Chile Antofagasta Mission. I love to read, and Harry Potter will always be my favorite. I enjoy any task that allows me to create something of my own. I like writing-particularly poems, children's books, short stories, and novels.

Why I am a Mormon

I was first a mormon because it was the religion of my parents, and I was baptized at the age of eight. As I went through my life it became very apparent to me, through my trials, that this religion was true. It has been a solid foundation for me when I have felt like I have nothing else or everything I hold to is slipping away. Heavenly father, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost have gotten me through trials in my life that I never would have come out stronger from without them. I have read the first vision of Joseph Smith and felt the spirit confirm to me that it is true and that he truly restored the gospel to the earth. I have felt the love and peace given to me through reading the scriptures and praying consistently and with a desire to be taught. My burdens have been lightened. I know that we have a prophet today who leads our church through revelation. He will never lead us astray.

How I live my faith

I serve as the secretary in my single's ward. I have three women that I visit teach each month that I have grown to love! I attend family home evening each Monday, and Ward Prayer each Sunday night. I am often involved in planning committees for church events.
