Hi I'm Keyla

I love church, my friends and family... hablo español. And the most important thing of all... I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm from a little country in Central America called Honduras, I study medicine because I love to help others, but since I enjoy helping others, I decided to stop my studies for a while and serve a mission, I was assigned to the Utah, Salt Lake City, Temple Square Mission. Sharing the Lord's Gospel with people who needs it brings a warm feeling to my heart. I have earned my personal progress medallion. I love to answer questions about my religion and I'll be glad to answer anything you want to know!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised as a Mormon all my life I was baptized at the age of 8, but unfortunately my parents got divorced and all of us became less active members of the church, when I was 14 I felt like something was missing in my life, so I decided to start over again, I didn't remember a lot of people, neither know others, and I felt lonely but I was determinate to know if this was what I needed. Some day a young boy Invited me to seminary, I said Okay! and you know what? That was one of the best decisions I could ever take, this led me to know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints it's true, Joseph Smith was a prophet called by God, the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and so many things I'll be pleased to share with others. I graduated from Seminary, end Young Women program, I'm in institute and work as the first counselor of primary in my ward; my father return to the church, my mom doesn't, YET, but all I can do is wait and love her as much as I can... Despite all these downs and ups, they had raised me as a good girl and I'm so grateful for all their teachings, caring, and love. As you can see, we mormons are not perfect, we just work hard to become a better person every day. Actually, I decided to serve a mission, bring joy to people in one of the greatest mission ever, Temple Square!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying often, reading my scriptures, and providing service to others. Throughout my life I quickly learned how important service is. I help my family, friends, and who need it. I plan activities for the kids in the church, I am very active with my ward. I live my faith by living what I believe and not being a Mormon just on Sundays but all the time, trying my best.
