Hi I'm Ashley

I'm a daughter, a sister, a student, a soccer player, an adventurer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second oldest out of 4 kids. I love my family and consider them my best friends! I love being outside. Whether that means pulling weeds, swimming, playing soccer, doing chores, or just relaxing. Life is hard but attitude is everything.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon home. My whole family is apart of the church. I grew up with the sure knowledge that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that we have a loving Heavenly Father. I never doubted the Book of Mormon or the teachings of the living prophets. But that doesn't mean that I didn't have to gain a testimony. There is no pivotal moment in my life that I can point to and say "that is where I gained my testimony." When I was 12 I began to read the Book of Mormon on my own. Every time I read from the pages, no matter how much I understand it or not, I feel peace. I feel comfort and I feel joy. Every time I pray I feel loved and cared for. The scriptures (2 Nephi 28:30) tell us that the Lord will give the children of men line upon line, and precept upon precept, here a little and there a little. Throughout my 19 years that is what I have been blessed with. I am a Mormon because my testimony that has grown little by little. I wasn't given all the knowledge I have at once, but I have searched for it and been blessed with understanding and peace. I know it is true because I have sought it out for my own understanding. It brings me greater happiness than anything else. Because of the gospel of Jesus Christ I can overcome all trials that I face. I know that God loves all His children and that He has a plan for us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the little things daily. These things include reading my scriptures, praying, serving in my calling, attending the temple, being kind to those around me, serving others, and trying to be more like Christ everyday. I love being happy and when I take the time to focus on my Heavenly Father and on Christ, it doesn't matter what I am going through, because I know I will always find joy.
