Hi I'm Caitlin

I grew up in Utah Valley and am looking forward to serving a mission in Chile. I love my family, tennis and baking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies include playing tennis, reading, and spending time with my family and friends. I have a twin sister and I have enjoyed having her by my side throughout my life. I attend BYU-Idaho and absolutely love it there. I enjoy studying Psychology and English. I try to find something good in each day!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me true joy and happiness. I was born and raised in the church and I have no idea where I would be today without it. I know that when I am having a hard time, I can pray to my Heavenly Father and He´ll always comfort me and answer my prayers. I know that as I continue to live a righteous life, the Holy Ghost will always be there to guide, protect, and strengthen me. I am a Mormon because I know this church is true with all my heart. When I feel the Spirit, I can really feel of our Heavenly Father and our Savior´s love. I know that they designed the plan of salvation for us to be able to live happy lives and return to live in their presence one day for eternity. I know my life is much easier and enjoyable when I am living the Gospel with high standards and doing all that I can do to have the Spirit in my life. Through my trials and life events, I have developed my own personal testimony of this perfect gospel.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by being an example of Christ. I do this by reaching out to others, trying to be a Christ-like person, dressing modestly, and looking at others the way Christ sees them. Whenever I get the chance at my work, I share my beliefs and explain to my co-workers what my religion means to me. This means a lot to me to be able to talk about the church and give them hope. In my previous calling, I was on the Fellowship Committee which I absolutely loved. We brought less actives and non-members together as we spent time with them and shared the gospel and had a good time. I love attending the temple and doing the work for those who have passed on. I reach out whenever I can to others who may be lonely, or who are just in need of a friend. One of my favorite scriptures is from the Book of Mormon in Alma 37:6. It states that by that by small and simple things, great things can happen. I have found that this scripture is true and a big difference can be made.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Caitlin
A Mormon lifestyle is one of happiness and love. As Mormons, we observe personal prayer and scripture study, church attendance for a greater understanding of the Gospel, and the commandments of Christ. Families are also a very important focus in church member's lives because families are an essential part of God's Plan. We want to share the happiness we enjoy with everyone we can through service for others, missionary work, and contributing to society. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Caitlin
Mormon missionaries share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how we can return to the presence of our Heavenly Father. They teach the doctrine and the Holy Ghost testifies to them that it is true. They teach about Christ's Atonement and the love that He has for each one of us. Missionaries also explain the restoration of the Gospel. After Christ´s death, the Church was lost and it was restored centuries later through the prophet Joseph Smith. They will also answer any questions you may have about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
