Hi I'm Taunie

I'm a wife, college student, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah. Currently I'm a wife and college student finishing up my degree in Family Finance. My husband and I are both attending college Utah State University. My husband and I grew up in the same small town, went to the same high school, but didn't meet until after he came home off his mission. We've been married for two years and after we graduate we can't wait to start a family of our own. My dream job is to be a stay at home mom and I so grateful to my sweet husband for working so hard so that that dream can become a reality someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. I am so grateful to my parents who from a young age helped my find out for myself if the church was true. When I was young I knew that I had their testimonies, and other families members testimonies to rely on to know that this gospel was true. It wasn't until I was in junior high when I really started to want to know for myself if the church was true. I am so grateful to my parents for showing me how to know if the church was true. Through prayer, scripture study, church attendance, and personal revelation, I have come to know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true! I have a testimony that God, Our Father in Heaven lives. I know that my savior Jesus Christ lives and that he died so that I could be clean and live with my family forever. I know the Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that with the help of our Father in Heaven that he was able to translate the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and is the most correct book here on this earth today and that if we study and read it's words we can come to know our Savior and know what we need to do to return back to him someday. I know that we have a true, living prophet here on the earth today who leads and guides us and I sustain President Thomas S. Monson as our Prophet. I am so grateful for the testimony I have of the atonement. I have a testimony of the power or prayer. I have a testimony of tithing and fast offerings. I also have a testimony of power of the Priesthood here on this earth today and I am so grateful to have a worthy Priesthood holder in my home. I know this church to be true! And it is because of these things and more that I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I am not perfect by any means, but I am always trying to do my best. I live my faith by attending my weekly church meetings, paying my tithes and fast offerings, attending the temple, reading my scriptures, and praying to my Heavenly Father. In my ward I have been giving the amazing opportunity to interact and teach 10-11 year old girls twice a month about becoming mothers, creating talents, exploring future careers, and becoming more like our Savior Jesus Christ. These little girls have become my friends in the ward and community. I enjoy hearing about their week at school and waving to them as I drive through our neighborhood. I also have the opportunity to sit and visit with 3 amazing women from my ward each month. It's so nice to sit and visit with these beautiful women. We talk about one another families, work, and other events that are going on in their lives, as well as mine, but also we discuss our faith. These women are such wonderful examples to me of how to have a Christ centered home and how to raise your family in these last days. I so grateful for this opportunity. During our visits we have a short message about our Savior Jesus Christ and how we can become more like him.
