Hi I'm Marley Watts

I am from UT. I will be serving a mission from July 2017- Jan 2019. I attend UVU, love swimming, hiking and books. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been called to serve a mission in Leeds, England for the next 18 months. I'll be preaching the gospel in Mandarin Chinese which I'm excited to learn as I speak English and only a tiny bit of French. I'm the fourth of six children, all born and raised in Highland Utah. I went to Lone Peak High School and after my mission I plan to continue to attend Utah Valley University and hopefully decide a major. I'm a huge Harry Potter Nerd, book worm, skier, hiker, and swimmer. I love all kinds of music ranging from musicals and classical to rap and dubstep. I love to sing, play the piano, ukulele and violin.

Why I am a Mormon

Born and raised in Highland, Utah you could probably guess I was raised in the Church, and you would be right. Both my parents are very strong in their testimonies of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and their wonderful example has blessed my life thoroughly. I believe I am who I am today because of this church. When trying to decide what to say here all I could think of is the peace the gospel brings and the goodness of it. There have been so many times in my life where I have felt the influence of God's love for me. I am a Mormon because I truly believe that the Book of Mormon really did happen and is another testament of Jesus Christ. Part of the peace the gospel brings to me is in the fact that Families can be together Forever. I think that's the thing I'm most excited to share with the people on my mission and through my life. I'm grateful for my Heavenly Father's love and the every day things I see it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in my ward activities. In my current ward I serve in my ward as a Home Evening Group Leader, planning activities for my group and making people feel welcome. It has allowed me to feel more a part of this church and gain so many good friends. I live my faith by being a disciple of Christ in everything that I do regularly and I will be living my faith more fully by serving a full time mission. I'm so excited to teach and learn from people of England on my mission.
