Hi I'm Kenzie

I'm from Oregon, I attended college at BYU-I for two semesters. I am currently serving a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors, white water rafting, camping dirt bike riding and hiking. I enjoy playing competitive basketball and volleyball. I love to eat, steak is my favorite! I was attending BYU-Idaho for two semesters studying communications and possibly nursing.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is such an amazing thing, it gives me purpose, direction, peace and hope that I can be cleansed of all my sins and imperfections that I may be able to live with my Heavenly Father again. As I live the commandments and follow the council of church leaders I have seen the blessings in my life. I have a testimony that my Savior came to this world as a perfect example, he sacrificed himself that we may be able to repent and live again in the presence of our Father. As we try our best to become like our Savior we will have the Spirit to be with us and we will be guided to do those things which are right.

How I live my faith

I grew up in a place where there aren't a lot of Mormons. I was often teased for my beliefs but it didn't bug me and I didn't retaliate because our faith teaches us to try our best to treat others as Christ would. I didn't swear in games or in the halls, I tried to treat others with love and respect. I had friends that were all affiliated with other religions and we would have awesome discussions about our morals and beliefs. People recognize that there is something different about "Mormons", we are usually happy and love spending time with our family which is sometimes looked at as weird for a teen. I love my family so much and I showed that love by spending time with them, helping around the house and participating in family events. I try to live my life in such a way that is in line with what I believe, sometimes that means making an unpopular decision in the worlds eyes.

What do Mormons believe about family?

I LOVE my family. As Latter-Day Saints we believe that we can live with our families for eternity and for some people this earth life seems like long enough, but when you truly understand the Gospel and the purpose of families that outlook can often change. Families are central to Gods plan, it is were we learn, grow, and receive support to face challenges as we mature. I know that families can be together forever. Show more Show less
