Hi I'm Onaleigh B.

I'm a baker. A Disney lover. A CNA. A dreamer. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Be Happy! That's the moto of my life. Every day is a gift and should be enjoyed. I have been blessed with a good life. I have loving parents and amazing siblings! They set wonderful examples for me to follow and I cannot express how grateful I am for them. I love baking treats for friends and family. I started to add to my abilities in baking and someday I'd like to start a business. In my senior year of High School I started working as a CNA at a Veterans nursing home. It quickly became one of the best decisions I ever made. I love the elderly and the ability to honor the service of such amazing men and women. Being a CNA has taught me how to love others and how to look outside myself to meet their needs. Through my service I feel a nearness to my Savior and the love He has for me. My newest adventure is leaving to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Jacksonville Florida. And I'm so excited to take the things I've already learned and use them in the service of my Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church. My parents have set great examples to me of love and faith. But there came a time in my life when I needed to know for myself. I came to know through obedience and humble prayer. As I have followed inspired council I have felt an increase of the Spirit. Through my obedience I have been tested and I have had to stand firm in my beliefs. And as I have humbly prayed for answers and knowledge it has been given. And it can be given to you too. And now I can say like Sister Dibb, "I know it, I live it, I love it!" And as I came to know the truth my desire to share what I know to be true and what has blessed my life increased. And it has changed who I am.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day. I have been serving in Primary (working with children 18 months to 12 years old) as the chorister. Teaching children is a great blessing and they teach me far more than I have taught them. I truly believe that music is a gift and when all else is forgotten the songs we learned as children will remain. I love sharing my beliefs through social media using the media produced by the church. I know that the truths taught by the Savior can bless the lives of my loved ones. And I want my actions to always lead others towards Him. Soon I will dedicate all my time and energy to that very purpose as a missionary, and I am humbled by the love and trust given me by my leaders and my Savior.
