Hi I'm Phil Albritton

I am an artist and retired teacher. I grew up in south Alabama but now am an adopted Georgian. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I retired from teaching elementary school art for 13 years. Art has pretty much been my life work in some form or another. I still paint and draw some in my retirement and spend lots of warm days riding my BMW motorcycle around north Georgia hills. I have 4 grown children and 10 grandchildren spread all over the country but occasionally I get to visit them. My wife is filipina and loves to cook her native foods and converse on Skype with her family in Manila.

Why I am a Mormon

Actually I became a Mormon when my whole family was converted to the church in 1961. Over the years I have been inactive and again reactivated several times as my abilities to carry life's burdens waxed and waned during my life. I am currently an active Mormon because I feel the church embodies the complete teachings and authority bestowed by the Savior Jesus Christ himself.

How I live my faith

I try to do my part in supporting the Mormon ideal of connecting with our ancestors, by working as a Family History Consultant in our Ward and doing lots of volunteer record indexing at home.
